Penny Muir

From school, Penny completed her AMSPAR diploma and medical secretarial training at various departments within Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Trust, including the personal secretary to Professor Hughes, in the recently opened Lupus unit at St Thomas’ Hospital, in London.

During this time and the proceeding 4 years, Penny did attend, part time, at Rose Bruford Performing Arts School, studying Theatre.

From the NHS, she then went on to work in Harley Street for one of the first ‘open’ MRI tele-radiology companies, as a medical secretary, where she met Dr MacSweeney. She soon worked closely with her and became Practice Manager, where she worked between the UK and the US sites to assist with their administrative operations.

When Dr MacSweeney went on to start her own company, Re:Cognition Health, it was a natural progression and no surprise that Penny then joined her as her Executive Assistant, where she assists her and the executive team, alongside the management of the Private Practice medical secretaries and receptionists and the Medicolegal Department.

Having worked professionally with Dr MacSweeney over the years, and shared her commitment and passion for Re:Cognition Health, Penny remains focused and inspired by ReCongition Health’s vision to be the preeminent leader for diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the brain and mind.
